Artist Statement
Vienne Cheung is committed to augmenting the beauty and splendor of the world through photography. She photographs both landscape and people in order to achieve this objective. The major things that inspire her work are unique details that stand out of its environment and moments that depicts a story.
Vienne tries to share her world through her lens. Sometimes, there are the minute details in nature or city life, which one may miss in their meanderings. It's easy for one to become too focused onto something that he or she is trying to achieve – we are often fixated on viewing things through one's own perspective. Part of Vienne's goal is to share a different view of life, one that may accentuate and remind us how truly beautiful the world around us is.
